DATES
The following are
the key dates for assignments for this class. There are fourteen topics
to be covered in the class on in the discussion area and six answers to
be created. Baydo lecture, text, readings and links and power point
presentations must be done before the discussion area questions can be
answered for the topics. The topics involved are: land, exploration,
myths of the west, religion, culture of the 1600s and 1700s, culture of
the 1800s, early Native Americans, early African Americans, Presidents:
Washington to Adams, Jefferson to JQ Adams, Jackson to Taylor, To
Grant, and War: Early Wars and To the Civil War. You have one discussion question for
each of the two topics to be covered. Make sure you pick one question
only and answer it by the deadline.
November 15
Final group project is due on this day. Groups
will be formed on November 1st and group progress report will appear on
November 8th
November 22
Take home midterm is due this day based on
reader essays.
December 9
Four page film review and evaluation paper is
due this day.
December 17
Take home final is due this day based on
reader essays.
Students can submit assignments prior to
these dates, but all late assignments will count less in this class.
